Tell us a little about your background:

I started working as a Monitoring Technician 10 years ago, directly after graduating school. After a few years, I began working in Servicedesk, and a few more years later, I became a Network Administrator, which has been my title for the last 5-6 years. At Crosskey, we handle all network-related services, including client-related traffic, Netbank, mobile bank, and other customer services that end customers use. We also manage switches, firewalls, routers, load balancers, encryption devices, and more.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my partner and 2 dogs, and I try to get as much time as possible on motorcycles: in the garage, on the track, and on the roads. During the summer, I also try to spend some time out on the water with the boat.

Describe a “normal” day at Crosskey:

As we're considered an “operating sysadmin team,” a normal day is a day where we've no idea what the day will bring – it can range from a complete blackout on all services to doing regular checkups of all our network equipment – rarely a complete schedule of what to expect from the upcoming work week.

What inspires you about working at Crosskey?

Problem-solving and investigation under time pressure is something that we face on a regular basis, and the excitement of not knowing what the day will bring – regardless of whether it’s good or bad.

What's one word that best describes the culture at Crosskey, and why?

Competent, friendly, and helpful (well, that’s three words!) – there is rarely an issue that cannot be resolved by discussing and brainstorming with colleagues.

How do you balance your work and personal life at Crosskey?

Well!
