Tell us briefly about your background?

I started my journey as an intern at the Nordisk Fondkommission, and in the fall of 1999, I got a job in the IT department. I then worked in support for 6 intensive years when we managed to merge with JP Bank/Matteus Fondkommission and shortly after with Aragon Fondkommission, which changed its name to JP Nordiska and was subsequently bought by Kaupthing Bank (which was when I also changed department and started as a Network junior). In 2009 we became the Bank of Åland and in 2010 IT was transferred to Crosskey -I have worked at Datacom since then as a Network Technician where I really enjoy my colleagues.

Privately, I take a lot of photos, although it's mostly via mobile these days; the last time I was going to change my mobile I had 8000 photos to move 😊. Otherwise, my 2 dogs and the garden in the country are probably my biggest interests, but I would like to start painting watercolors again.

Describe a “normal” day at Crosskey?

I like to start the day early, so my day usually starts no later than 07:00, but I would say that I don't have many "normal" working days, and that is precisely what makes it so fun and interesting to work at Crosskey - one day is not the same as the other.

What inspires you about working at Crosskey?

Everything from helping customers to working on projects or troubleshooting.

How does Crosskey support your professional growth and aspirations?

I develop a lot by being able to take personal responsibility, to "dare" to take on things that I have not previously worked with, and to learn from colleagues.

What's one word that best describes the culture at Crosskey, and why?

Cooperation. I feel that it is very easy to cooperate with everyone, not only in my group but with everyone at Crosskey - everyone stands up for each other.

How do you balance your work and personal life at Crosskey?

Being able to work flexibly and remotely is what makes my personal life and work go together so well.

Something else you would like to highlight?

Health - Crosskey's various health projects over the years.
